Our Program
Our program is for those of you who want to experience everything a theatre bachelor of arts degree can offer. This is an intensive generalist program that culminates in a senior year project. Most seniors choose either to direct a play in our Xperimental Theatre or design a faculty production.
For those of you who want to be teachers, our unique education program allows you to major in theatre and obtain your secondary teaching license in English (there are more English teaching jobs available).
ASC Theatre Performs on the National Stage
- Our theatre program has achieved a growing national reputation through our participation in Tim Robbins' Dead Man Walking School Theatre Project, Suzan-Lori Parks' 365 Days/365 Plays Project, and the National Endowment for the Arts' The Big Read Project. Combining exciting programming with innovative outreach, ASC Theatre is redefining the role of live theatre within a community. In the process, we are giving our students the opportunity to meet and work with such international figures as Sr. Helen Prejean and Luis Valdez.
