ASC Alumni in Northern California
San Francisco area alumni followed Jack London's footsteps along the pier at historic Jack London square in Oakland, CA, to have lunch together at Il Pescatore on June 7th.
ASC Comes Your Way

Los Alamos area alumni gathered at the Blue Window Bistro on June 4th for a scrumptious meal out on the patio.
Historic downtown Santa Fe is always an interesting place to visit and it was no exception on June 5th as area alumni met at the Blue Corn Café for dinner and a visit.
ASC Goes East
May 12th was a very rainy day in Washington, DC.

That didn't stop area alumni from coming out for dinner at the Beacon Bar and Grill.

A small, but dedicated, group met for dinner on May 14th at Philadelphia's Core De Roma. The food and the company were molto buono!
Jerry Crisci '70 was the gracious host of the New York alumni luncheon at his restaurant, Armondo's, held on May 17th. The food and the service were unparalleled and the cheesecake was to die for-Gaylene had been waiting all year for a slice! Thanks, Jerry!
ASC Alumni in Southeast Colorado

Trinidad area alumni got up early on Saturday morning, April 19th to have breakfast with Gaylene and Lori. The group enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast prepared by alum Rich Compton's '77 daughter.

The Cow Palace was the location for the annual Lamar reunion on April 19th. Lori and Gaylene enjoyed the visit.

La Junta area alumni met up for dinner at the Golf & Grill on April 19th.

Lots of new faces added to the fun!
ASC Alumni in Pueblo
On April 18th, Pueblo area alumni gathered for dinner at La Renaissance, a wonderful restaurant that was, at one time, a church. Over 50 alumni and guests visited over the fabulous food-especially the dessert! Special guests included Dr. Marv '58 & '59 and Mary '62 Motz, who came over from Alamosa for the occasion.
ASC Alumni in Southern California

On March 26th, San Diego area alumni met up at Anthony's Fish Grotto for their annual get-together. Dr. Bruce Landis, the new Vice-President for Institutional Advancement joined the group. He talked to the group about the campus, and, of course, the WATER! The crab cakes were the best in town!

Orange County alumni braved the weekend traffic to have lunch together on March 29th at the Claim Jumper Restaurant in Irvine. Dr. Landis joined this group as well. After everyone finished eating their gargantuan meals, the group enjoyed hearing news about the campus and Alamosa, especially the update on the salmonella outbreak. Lori and Gaylene just enjoyed drinking the water! Door prizes are always a favorite--Jennifer Duran '00 hit the jackpot with two!
Mardi Gras at ASC - 02/26
Better late than never is an apt description of the SLV Mardi Gras celebration which took place on Tuesday, February 26th. SLV area alumni gathered in the Student Union Building for an awesome feast of shrimp, crab legs, fried fish and tilapia. Beads and masks were donned as the group enjoyed the Dixieland music of Dr. Doug Camp and his band. Barb Relyea '67 commented that she wished many more alumni could have come out to enjoy the great evening!
Retiree's Valentines Luncheon - 02/14
Valentine's Day at ASC only means one thing-lots of red and pink at the Retiree's annual Valentine's luncheon. This group really knows how to get in the spirit of things!
ASC Comes to AZ - 02/07 & 02/08

Phoenix area alumni were enjoying the 70 degree weather in February while Lori and Gaylene languished in freezing 20 below temperatures.

On February 7th, Metro Tech High School put on the 5th annual alumni luncheon and it was scrumptious, as usual. A big thanks goes out to Rudy '62 and Sharon Basovsky for hosting the luncheon. Later that evening, alumni gathered at the Claim Jumper for some chat time over hors d'oeuvres. Connie '63 & '66 and John '62 Spencer graciously hosted the event! Lori and Gaylene missed being with you all this year-they'll be back next year!
On February 8th, Tucson area alumni met at Michelangelo's Ristorante Italiano for a wonderful meal and a great visit. Since Lori and Gaylene were stuck at home in the snow, Deb '78 and Dick Smith did a fabulous job hosting the dinner! A big thanks again to all our alumni hosts-you are all awesome!
ASC Alumni in Albuquerque - 02/05
Albuquerque alumni dined in style at Garduno's restaurant on February 5th. While Lori and Gaylene were snowed in in Alamosa, Joel Korngut '67 hosted the dinner. Thanks, Joel, for all your help! Albuquerque alumni, we'll see you next year!
ASC Alumni Denver Chapter Mixer - 01/17
The Uptown Tavern in downtown Denver was THE place to be on January 17th. Denver area alumni outnumbered the Hillary Clinton support group also meeting there as they gathered at the tavern to meet Dr. Svaldi and visit over some awesome hors d'oeuvres. The weather was cold outside but alumni were warmed by the fun and laughter around the fire.
ASC Alumni Mixer - 01/16
Ft. Collins area alumni met up at Woody's on January 16th for some really good pizza and even better company. Returning alumni got to meet several new faces and share stories about their good ol' days at ASC.
