Women's wellness to be discussed at Adams State College (02-06-08)
Adams State College Student Life has arranged for Michelle Valdez, nurse practitioner at San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center, to speak about cervical and breast health topics. The event starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, in Carson Auditorium. The public is invited and there is no charge.
Cervical health topics will include incidence, risk factors, risk reduction, pathology, screening guidelines for pap tests, follow up on abnormal pap test results, the Gardasil Vaccine, and women's wellness connection. Breast health topics will include incidence, risk factors, screening, and women's wellness connection.
